No-Nonsense Privacy Policy
Welcome! jh.dev4.webenabled.net does not collect any personally identifiable information without your full knowledge and consent (and example of that would be if we start a newsletter or mini-course and you give us your email address specifically for that purpose). If you do give us your information, it will never be sold, given away or used to send you unsolicited bulk mail. We do reserve the right to send personal, individual notes if you should choose to contact us.
We use cookies for Google Analytics tracking which tells us how many visitors we have, which browsers they use and other useful information like that. It does not identify you personally in any way. This data may be shared in aggregate terms (again, not your personal browsing session, but overall numbers). We may in the future use cookies for other purposes, for example keeping users logged into their accounts. Also, if at some point we should choose to run Google AdSense ads, Google now uses cookies to provide more targetted ads.
Sometimes when we link out, our links are affiliate links (see our policy and pledge on affiliate links). That means that if we send you to Amazon.com or some other merchant and you buy something, we get a commission (a very common practice) and in order to do that, we send information saying that you came from our site, so that we get credit. We will link ot many other sites as well. In both cases, when you leave this site, you are subject to the privacy policy of those other sites and would do well to read their policies before submitting any personal information.
If you do see Google Ads on this site, you should know that like any site with Google ads on it:
- Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on your site.
- Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.
By using the site, you are accepting the practices described in this privacy policy. These practices may be changed, but any changes will be posted and changes will only apply to activities and information on a going forward, not on a retroactive basis.
We may share information with governmental agencies or other companies (e.g. Visa) assisting us in fraud prevention or investigation. We may do so when: (1) required by law; or, (2) trying to protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud or unauthorized transactions; or, (3) investigating fraud which has already taken place. The information will not be provided to these companies for marketing purposes.
